“The Keystone Commitment LRAP was one of the major reasons I chose to attend Keystone because it was the only school with this awesome program to help pay back my student loans if I need help.”
– Keystone College Student
“If it were not for the Keystone Commitment I think my daughter would have gone elsewhere… knowing that Keystone is there to help them, not only through, but after college, is huge!”
– Keystone College Parent
THEIR LRAP STORY
As the spring of 2016 approached, Keystone College was facing a challenge common to many schools. Projections indicated they would not meet their enrollment goals. The team needed to find a solution, and their VP of Enrollment remembered an option she had heard about before.
Understanding that fear of college debt was having a disproportionate impact on students, parents, and caregivers making their final college choices, the administration decided to pilot a LRAP program to a specific list of students, on a case-by-case basis. Their goal was to reassure families that the choice to invest in a Keystone education would come with an additional layer of support after graduation.
By offering LRAP to a group of students who had been admitted but had not yet submitted their deposits, 36 additional students accepted the LRAP offer and enrolled. Keystone met the challenge and made their enrollment goals.
The results of the LRAP pilot were sufficient to encourage Keystone to broaden the program by offering it to all incoming freshmen, and to make it their own by adding The Keystone Commitment LRAP initiative to their Keystone Promise.
YOUR LRAP, YOUR DATA
The decision to broaden the program was backed by data the school collected measuring the impact of LRAP on enrollment decisions. That data showed LRAP to have “greatly” influenced the decisions of 41% of students, parents, and caregivers.
Every day, LRAP partners with schools to help them identify, prioritize, and have access to these kinds of data points and beyond. We help institutions know more completely how a LRAP program can eliminate the fear and doubt about post-graduation finances and enable decision-makers to choose your school.
