Lubbock Christian University Offers Loan Repayment Assistance to All Incoming Freshmen
We are happy to report that our partner, Lubbock Christian University (Lubbock, TX), has taken another bold step to prepare students for lives of purpose and service by partnering with us to offer a loan repayment assistance program (LRAP) to all incoming freshmen beginning in the fall of 2019. With the LCU Advantage, graduates who make less than $43,000 per year in their first job and beyond will qualify for assistance re-paying their student (and parent) loans. This assistance continues until their income increases or until all loans are fully paid off.

We began working with the enrollment team at LCU in the fall of 2016 to offer loan repayment assistance programs to students as part of a pilot initiative. In September of 2017, LCU announced they would welcome of one of the largest freshmen classes in the institution’s 60-year history. By creating the LCU Advantage, Lubbock Christian University is now expanding their pilot initiative and offering their loan repayment assistance program (LRAP) to all incoming freshmen.
Lubbock Christian University was founded in 1957 by members of the Churches of Christ. It was featured on the honor roll of The Chronicle of Higher Education’s list of Great Colleges to Work For in 10 categories for 2018. The LCU Advantage, powered by LRAP Association, is a logical extension of LCU’s mission statement: “transforming the hearts, minds, and hands of students for lives of purpose and service”. The program empowers students to pursue education and employment opportunities without the fear that life with student loans means limited choices.
